Eat me

I’m running again. The sweat burns my eyes. My heart pounds in rhythm with my footsteps. I slam my feet down angrily, wishing I could flatten my love handles as easily as I hammer the soft path beneath my sneakers. I awaken the next morning and the next and the next … and she’s still… Read More Eat me

Body Image Series, Part 3: Media

[Have you read the Introduction yet? Start here.] April 2012 – I totally get this one. I do. Warped female images in the media totally mess with our minds. Trying to emulate them is incredibly unhealthy on so many levels. Blah, blah, blah … I know the theories behind what’s happening on those billboards and in those ad campaigns! And I also… Read More Body Image Series, Part 3: Media

We all have our battles and I've had my fair share. But if I can make it through this madness (addiction, divorce, abuse, single parenting, co-parenting, molestation, infertility, autoimmune disease, connective tissue disorders ... you name it, I've been there), then you can too. You are stronger than you think!

Slowly but surely, we can convert these experiences into FUEL for better things ahead. We can teach our kids. We can inspire those around us for good. And we can change the world.
