Mr. Fix-it

This past week, Christian and I had some spare time to play around with my just-turned-three-year-old, Liam. He chose his elaborate plastic tool bench, complete with noisy battery-operated power tools, as he often does. My husband is a carpenter by trade, so this is always fun for the boys on many levels.

We pounded, drilled, and banged to our hearts’ content.

At one point, Liam furrowed his little brow and began sawing furiously. Eventually he looked down at me sitting on the floor next to him, handed over his plastic board and said, “Here you go, Mom.”

Me: “Oh, thank you!”

Liam: “Twenty-five bucks!”

Me: “What?!”

Liam: “Twenty-five bucks. That what’s Daddy says.”

Me: (giggling) “Oh! Here you go.” (I pretend to hand him some money.) Thank you, sir.

Liam: “Just doin’ my job, ma’am.”

HAHA! He cracks me up!
